Soap, proteins and highly complex molecules from CO2 – these are the winners of the “Best CO2 Utilisation 2022” innovation award

Large scale investments in CO2-based ethanol, methanol and aviation fuel are just around the corner – supporting climate protection and independence from fossil fuels. Participants of the “Conference on CO2-based Fuels & Chemicals 2022” elected the three innovation award winners. The award was organised by nova-Institute and CO2Value Europe, and sponsored by YNCORIS.

The winners of the last innovation award “Best CO2 Utilisation” transformed CO2 into methanol, cleaning agents, plastic packaging or surfactants. What technology or product in the field of CCU have you developed?

nova-Institute and YNCORIS together with CO2 Value Europe are looking forward to your application for the innovation award “Best CO2 Utilisation 2022”. The award will be granted at the well-established “Conference on CO2-based Fuels and Chemicals”, 23–24 March 2022 in Cologne (hybrid event)

How to utilise CO2? The nominees for the innovation award “Best CO2 Utilisation 2021” have the answers!

Carbon capture and utilisation (CCU) is one of the most obvious solutions to further reduce CO2 emissions, but it is yet still hardly exploited. However, these six nominated technologies turn CO2 into value: ethanol, methanol, polyols, surfactants or syngas – the audience will choose the winner at the “9th Conference on CO2-based Fuels and Chemicals”, 23–24 March 2021, online!

You are an innovator in CO2 utilisation or you have developed pioneer technologies to capture or convert CO2 into fuels or chemicals? Join us and apply for the innovation award “Best CO2 Utilisation 2021”

nova-Institute and YNCORIS, together with the co-organiser CO2 Value Europe will award a prize to innovative products and technologies in the field of Carbon Capture and Carbon Utilisation (Power-to-X) at the “9th Conference on CO2-based Fuels and Chemicals”.

Innovative and sustainable ideas can’t be stopped by the Corona crisis! The winners of the innovation award “Best CO2 Utilisation 2020” are Air Vodka made from CO2, a biological methanation process as grid-scale energy storage solution and a direct air capture solution for CO2

At nova-Institute’s first online conferences on PtX and Carbon Capture and Utilization (CCU), 50 speakers presented and discussed the future of aviation fuels and carbon dioxide as feedstock!

Aviation fuels, CO2-based fuels and chemicals, PtX and CCU need conferences and meeting places for exchange – especially in times of the corona virus.

Unfortunately, nova won’t be able to hold the major conferences in Cologne next week due to general event bans in Germany: 1st European Summit on CO2-based Aviation Fuels (in cooperation with IASA), 23 March 2020 and the 8th Conference on Carbon Dioxide as Feedstock for Fuels, Chemistry and Polymers, 24 – 25 March 2020

Extended deadline to apply for the innovation award “Best CO2 Utilisation 2020″ – CO2 Value Europe joins as innovation award co-organiser

nova-Institute and the innovation award sponsor Covestro welcome CO2 Value Europe as the co-organiser of the innovation award. The programme promises an outstanding “8th Conference on Carbon Dioxide as Feedstock for Fuels, Chemistry and Polymers”. Be part of the innovation from the very start – 200 to 300 participants are expected.
