Updated Preliminary Programme – 9th Conference on CO2-based Fuels and Chemicals and 2nd European Summit on CO2-based Aviation Fuels

23–24 March 2021, online event

Meet the leading international experts at one of the world’s premier and most prominent conferences on Carbon Capture and Carbon Utilisation (Power-to-X)!

Carbon Capture and Utilisation (CCU) is one essential pillar for the supply of renewable carbon besides biomass utilisation and recycling. The transition to the direct use of CO2 as one alternative carbon source is needed as a key element to substitute fossil sources, to fight climate change and to shift towards sustainable and climate-friendly production and consumption. For providing the full benefits of CCU technologies the use of renewable energy is indispensable. Especially the 2021-01-11_CCU_AFS_2021_440x220supply of green hydrogen is crucial for the production of CO2-based fuels for transportation and aviation as well as for bulk and fine chemicals.

The “9th Conference on CO2-based Fuels and Chemicals” and the “2nd European Summit on CO2-based Aviation Fuels” in cooperation with IASA e.V., 23–24 March 2021, provide a unique platform for exchange with the world leading pioneers on CO2 as renewable carbon feedstock for fuels and chemicals. Due to the current Corona situation in Germany, the conference will be an online-only event. Despite the circumstances, the nova-Institut will offer extensive networking and participation opportunities.

Updated preliminary programme

We are happy to welcome 26 speakers from 12 different countries. These experts from leading companies and research institutes have diverse backgrounds and will present their innovative technologies and strategies. These presentations will cover the whole supply and value chain for Carbon Capture and Carbon Utilisation (Power-to-X), such as energy supply via renewable resources, capture and use of renewable carbon and hydrogen production, as well as the political framework and future innovations.

The almost final programme for the “9th Conference on CO2-based Fuels and Chemicals” and the integrated “2nd European Summit on CO2-based Aviation Fuels” is online, take a look at www.co2-chemistry.eu/programme.

The conference is under the patronage of Professor Dr Andreas Pinkwart, Minister of Economic Affairs, Innovation, Digitalization and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.
