Which renewable materials are solutions that meet the needs of future societies? As a response to this challenging question, nova-Institute has decided to unite all relevant industries in the new “Renewable Materials Conference”, May 18–20, 2021, featuring a unique concept to present all renewable material solutions at one event: bio-based, CO2-based and recycled.

CO2 has become famous in a sad way. Carbon Recycling International from Iceland, LanzaTech from USA and Covestro from Germany transform it into usable raw materials.
How to utilise CO2? The nominees for the innovation award “Best CO2 Utilisation 2021” have the answers!
Carbon capture and utilisation (CCU) is one of the most obvious solutions to further reduce CO2 emissions, but it is yet still hardly exploited. However, these six nominated technologies turn CO2 into value: ethanol, methanol, polyols, surfactants or syngas – the audience will choose the winner at the “9th Conference on CO2-based Fuels and Chemicals”, 23–24 March 2021, online!

At nova-Institute’s first online conferences on PtX and Carbon Capture and Utilization (CCU), 50 speakers presented and discussed the future of aviation fuels and carbon dioxide as feedstock!
Aviation fuels, CO2-based fuels and chemicals, PtX and CCU need conferences and meeting places for exchange – especially in times of the corona virus.
Unfortunately, nova won’t be able to hold the major conferences in Cologne next week due to general event bans in Germany: 1st European Summit on CO2-based Aviation Fuels (in cooperation with IASA), 23 March 2020 and the 8th Conference on Carbon Dioxide as Feedstock for Fuels, Chemistry and Polymers, 24 – 25 March 2020
