Bioeconomy International 2025: Funding for global research partnerships

Bioeconomy Module Germany - São Paulo/Brazil

The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) has launched the “Bioeconomy International 2025” funding programme. The aim of this programme is to promote international research and development projects in the field of bioeconomy in order to support the national bioeconomy strategy with a stronger international focus.

The funding is available for research, development and innovation projects (FuEuI – Forschung und Entwicklung und Innovation projects) in consortia with partners from Vietnam, Thailand, Queensland/Australia and/or São Paulo/Brazil. In Brazil, the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) is organising a parallel call to this funding guideline to support cooperation partners from the state of São Paulo. This module’s project proposals can be submitted in four subject areas (see call for proposals).

The application procedure has a two-stage structure. Project outlines can be uploaded to the internet portal www.bioeconomy-international.de until 25 November 2024 at 1 p.m. (CET).

The call for proposals is available at the BMBF-Website (bmbf.de).
