The ultimate solution for society’s ever growing hunger for raw materials and energy

So simple but so true: By using sun or wind power, combining it with CO₂ and water, you can produce almost anything you want or need: fuels, chemicals and plastics, or even food and feed. The new technology platform making this possible is Carbon Capture and Utilization (CCU).

What sounds like a fairy tale from the far future, is already reality: Dozens of so-called power-to-gas plants in Germany use solar and wind power to produce artificial natural gas from CO₂, Iceland uses CO₂ for the production of fuel methanol, and companies from Germany, the USA and South Korea make plastics such as PPC, PEC and polyurethane based on CO₂. In addition to these catalytic processes, the biotechnological conversion of CO₂ and CO into chemical building blocks is being intensely investigated.
