CO2-Umwandlung durch elektrochemische Prozesse – Das WaterProof-Projekt

Das im Juni startende Forschungsprojekt WaterProof zielt darauf ab, den Kohlenstoffkreislauf von Abfällen und Abwässern zu schließen, indem es ein neuartiges Bioraffineriekonzept entwickelt, das CO2-Emissionen städtischer Abfallverarbeitungsanlagen in wertvolle grüne Verbraucherprodukte umwandelt. Das Ziel besteht in einer Technologie, die maßgeblich zu einer Reduzierung von Treibhausgasen auf der Grundlage einer effektiven CO2-Nutzung, dem Ersatz fossiler Rohstoffe und industrieller Elektrifizierung beiträgt.
