In February 2025, Kaj Seeger joined the Policy & Economy Department at nova-Institute, bringing with him his long-standing expertise in climate-related policy and business development, as well as his passion for keeping carbon out of the atmosphere. His responsibilities include analysing policies and advising clients from industry and the public sector, managing projects in several EU-funded initiatives (3-CO, UNICO2RN), and occasionally delivering training sessions or keynotes on recent political and policy developments.
In his work, Kaj navigates the complex regulatory landscape surrounding renewable carbon and its potential applications. His analyses help to identify market opportunities and improve understanding of the playing field for enterprises and lawmakers wherever renewable carbon can be sourced or used. Additionally, he contributes his communication expertise to help deliver complex information to consumers and customers (3-CO), as well as his knowledge of carbon uses and removals to projects within the emerging technological and regulatory framework (UNICO2RN).
In addition to his analytical work, Kaj applies his project management skills to various projects, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality results and fostering positive working relationships with clients. An experienced trainer and workshop facilitator, he helps organise and run engaging, result-focused work sessions across nova’s various projects and departments.
