Dipl. biol. Achim Raschka is Head of the Department of Technology and Markets and the biotechnology and green chemistry working group. He is working in the topic of material use of renewable carbon in bio-based and CO2-based products and chemical recycling, biotechnological and chemical-technical topics, CO2-based fuels, platform chemicals and monomers as well as for sustainable feedstock for fuel, chemicals and polymer production. Achim is involved in several national and international research projects as well as in consulting of industry.
Background and expertise
Achim is a biologist by training and studied Biology at the Free University of Berlin after a technical training as physics laboratory assistant. After a short period as press officer at the German Human Genome Project headquarter, Achim worked as publisher for digital media. In 2008 he started to work at nova-Institute and took over the lead of the Department of Technology and Markets in 2012.
