The Home Grown Cereals Authority (HGCA) has issued new guidance for wheat growers aiming for the bioethanol market.
Processors require grain giving high alcohol yields and high processing efficiency. The guide (see link below) offers advice on variety selection and the management of crops for bioethanol production. In addition, the HGCA in association with the Renewable Energy Association is holding a series of workshops which will cover a range of issues from markets to the latest policy initiatives and issues associated with biofuel production in the UK.
See NNFCC events section or HGCA website for more details.
