Coca Cola reveal that running fleet on biogas could reduce costs as well as emissions

Biogas fuelled vehicle reduce well-to-wheel greenhouse gas emissions by an estimated 50.3 per cent

A report commissioned by Coca-Cola reveals that a new fleet of vehicles powered by biogas could reduce greenhouse gas emissions by more than 50 per cent compared to diesel and also save on fuel costs.

Biogas is produced when food or animal waste decomposes in the absence of air. The use of this gas in the production of heat and electricity is growing in importance across the UK, but we have yet to capitalise on it’s potential to deliver a new breed of low-carbon vehicles.
