Brazil’s Petrobras plans to start producing ethanol in 2014

Sugar-grown supplies of molasses for ethanol production in Mozambique

Brazilian oil company Petrobras plans to start producing ethanol in Mozambique in 2014, the chairman of Petrobras Combustíveis, Miguel Macedo said Tuesday in Maputo.

Speaking in Maputo at a conference entitled “Brazil and Africa: Opting for Sustainable Development,” Macedo said that the company would set up a distillery in 2013 with a view to launching production in 2014.
