In California, Renewable chemicals developer Genomatica took the #1 spot in the 2012-13 “30 Hottest Companies in Renewable Chemicals and Biobased Materials” rankings, announced today by Biofuels Digest at Advanced Biofuels Markets in San Francisco.

Solazyme (#2), Myriant (#3), Elevance Renewable Sciences (#4), LS9 (#5), DuPont Industrial Biosciences (#6), LanzaTech (#7), Amyris (#8), ZeaChem (#9) and Gevo (#10) round out the top 10.
