The whole value net of the bioeconomy made visible and tangible

BiobasedWorld – the premier trade show for all biobased industries

The whole value net of the bioeconomy made visible and tangible – this is BiobasedWorld, 15-16 February 2017 in Cologne, Germany. Join exhibitors such as Royal Cosun, Eppendorf European Bioprocess Center and GEA group.

Bioeconomy is a very elastic term – but what does it mean when it comes to companies? Do sugar beet producers belong the bioeconomy? Yes, they do, providing the sugar that sweetens your coffee and fuels many bioprocesses. But Dutch Royal Cosun is more than a cooperative of 9,000 sugar beet farmers. Its product portfolio ranges from simple sugars to specialty sugars and organic acids to biobased plasticizers.

Feeding microorganisms with sugar to make revolutionary products starts in a bioreactor on a lab bench. The parallel benchtop bioreactor systems by Eppendorf are unparalleled when it comes to reproducing results. All relevant parameters can be precisely controlled and the processes highly automated, allowing for speedy process development from lab bench to industrial process.

And if a process has reached industrial scale there is no way around GEA group. Downstream processing can easily account for 50% of production cost in industrial scale. GEA is a specialist in cross-flow membrane filtration and designs and selects optimum components for biomass separation and product purification.

These are only three exhibitors that show the scope of BiobasedWorld, join them and show your expertise in bioeconomy.
BiobasedWorld is brought to you by DECHEMA Ausstellungs-GmbH, organizer of the leading trade show for the process industries – ACHEMA – since 1920.
