It’s in rope, paper, potting mix, cloth, insulation; it’s even in the car door “bolster” material which Ford will utilize for the Ford Escape starting with this model year, and Panasonic is using them for fiber board which they export to Japan from Malaysia.

It’s a plant that’s been cultivated for its fiber since the time of the Pyramids – lately, the product range has expanded dramatically as manufacturers have learned to utilize its properties in bioplastics and resins, environmental mats (for instant lawns, for example) and other products for home, office, and the yard.
