Tecnaro was spun out of the Fraunhofer Institute for Chemical Technology (ICT) in 1998 by the two founders and CEOs Helmut Nägele and Jürgen Pfitzer as a pioneer in the global bioplastics industry. The company is now tapping into another forward-looking area and is delighted to have been successfully certified for the first time in accordance with FSC®(Forest Stewardship Council®) and PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) by the certification company DIN CERTCO of the TÜV Rheinland Group.

As part of the certification process, all relevant company processes were run through and successfully audited.

Tecnaro can now seamlessly integrate its bioplastic compounds Arboform, Arboblend and Arbofill into existing FSC®and PEFC supply chains together with its customers, such as its own subsidiary ARBOTRADE and its product Bio-wax-sleeve, in order to ensure verifiable consistency of sustainable material origin. This seamless traceability, from the raw material to the end product, enables transparent communication along the entire value chain and strengthens the trust of customers, partners and end consumers.

TECNARO is thus once again making a concrete contribution to compliance with international environmental standards and to credible, sustainable action – now also in an area that has not previously been the focus of such certifications: the plastics industry.
