Sustainable Technology Corporation Completes Acquisition of DuPont’s Cellulosic (G2.0) Ethanol Technology

Company plans to license the technology globally including in biorefineries under development by BioChem USA, LLC

Sustainable Technology Corporation, a subsidiary of Petron Scientech, Inc., has completed the acquisition from DuPont, the complete technology assets for the world-class, second-generation technology developed and demonstrated by DuPont, capable of commercially producing ethanol from cellulosic biomass.

The acquired assets include all associated intellectual property and patents including that for process design and the zymomonas ethanologens. The acquisition of this technology by Sustainable Technology Corporation allows Petron Scientech to expand the family of renewable fuels and chemicals technologies that it licenses and provides, including those to produce biofuels, olefins from alcohols, including ethylene from ethanol, ethylene oxide and ethylene glycol, along with other ethylene derivatives such as polyethylene, EDC and SBR .
