RheTech, Inc., one of the leading thermoplastics compounders supplying the transportation, construction, electronics and consumer markets, has been named a winner of the Michigan Green Leaders Award, Medium-Sized Business category, by the Detroit Free Press. The company was recognized for developing a line of sustainable biocomposite material for use in the automotive, consumer and construction markets. Called RheVision®, the biocomposites include wood, rice hulls, flax, agave and coconut fiber reinforced polyolefins that are helping meet the growing demand for environmentally friendly materials that achieve the performance characteristics required by its customers.
