PureCycle Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: PCT), a U.S.-based company revolutionizing plastic recycling, announced today its PureFive™ resin achieved critical qualification steps for use in spout and dose caps for select bottles of Procter & Gamble products. This is one of the first applications to use PureCycle’s recycled polypropylene (PP) resin. Scaled production tests of the dose caps are expected to begin in the coming months. Products with PureFive™ resin are planned to be in production by the end of 2025 and in stores in early 2026.
The multi-step qualification process for using PureCycle’s PureFive Choice™ resin first requires the recycled material to be successfully molded at a select converter. Next, the resin is analyzed for its ability to match the color of each qualifying package. Finally, the component is drop-tested to prove it meets requirements of strength and durability.

PureCycle licenses its patented, dissolution process for recycling polypropylene from P&G, whose scientists developed the underlying technology.
