KINGFA opens advanced recycling facility in Spain

The company aims to expand its presence in the European market, providing solutions for plastic waste recycling, lifecycle management, and low-carbon materials

On February 19, the inauguration ceremony of KINGFA Environmental SCI & TECH Spain was held in Montalbo, Cuenca, Spain. The event was attended by government officials, industry experts, customer representatives, and local journalists, all witnessing this important milestone. 

A Key Step in Kingfa’s Internationalization Strategy

During the ceremony, it was emphasized that the establishment of Kingfa Spain is an important step in Kingfa’s (Guangzhou, China) Internationalization and a key initiative in achieving its “1438 Strategy”. The company aims to expand its presence in the European market, providing solutions for plastic waste recycling, lifecycle management, and low-carbon materials. 

Recognized for Green Transformation

José Luis Martínez Guijarro, First Vice President of Castilla-La Mancha, congratulated Kingfa on the start of production. He praised the project as a model for green transformation and stated that the government will continue to optimize industrial policies. The goal is to build a sustainable ecosystem that connects resource regeneration and innovation, ensuring both economic growth and environmental benefits.

Industry representatives acknowledged Kingfa’s advanced recycling technology, which enables high-value reuse of plastic waste. The Spanish facility was recognized for its full-process high-quality recycling capabilities, marking a significant breakthrough in the circular economy infrastructure.

Cao Yan, the Science and Technology Counsellor at the Chinese Embassy in Spain, expressed hope that the Spain Kingfa facility would serve as a bridge for China-Europe green cooperation, fostering technological advancements, industry upgrades, and environmental solutions.

The Kingfa Spain facility is expected to reach an annual capacity of 30,000 tonnes of high-performance recycled plastics. The company will actively contribute to enhancing Spain’s plastic waste recycling system, promoting a low-carbon economy, and shaping a sustainable future.
