EcoSynthetix to introduce expanded product range at PaperCon 2014

EcoSynthetix will introduce EcoSphere 2330, a new grade within the Company's flagship product range

BURLINGTON, ON, April 10, 2014 /CNW/ – EcoSynthetix Inc. (TSX: ECO), a renewable chemicals company that produces a family of commercially proven bio-based products, today announced that it will introduce a newly expanded EcoSphere® biolatex® product range at TAPPI’s PaperCon 2014. Held at the Nashville Convention Center from April 27-30, PaperCon is the paper industry’s largest annual conference and expo event in North America.

EcoSynthetix will introduce EcoSphere 2330, a new grade within the Company’s flagship product range. This grade of EcoSphere has been shown to be an optimal formulation for paperboard, lightweight coated paper and fine graphic paper applications, particularly those that require supercalendering, which is the finishing process that gives paper its high-gloss finish. Customers using this product have experienced improved paper quality.

“As the world’s first, and only, provider of biolatex binders, customers use our naturally derived products every day to reduce costs, improve performance and achieve their sustainability goals in a number of paper and paperboard applications,” said John van Leeuwen, Chief Executive Officer of EcoSynthetix. “Our newly expanded product range demonstrates our commitment to the paper industry and gives manufacturers more options of EcoSphere biolatex to consider using within their unique coating formulation.”

Visitors to booth 337 at PaperCon 2014 will be able to learn more about the EcoSynthetix’ expanded range of commercially available products, as well as the development activities currently underway for uncoated, digital and coated paper and board applications.
