China: Import duty for 2001 and 2002

Following the last discussions and negotiations between China and WTO trade partners, the Chinese import duty for glycerine and fatty acids/alcohols defined for 2002 (in comparison to 2001) is as follows : Glycerine (US pharmaceutical grade) 14% (2001) – 14% (2002), Glycerine (Industrial) 20% (2001) – 20% (2002), Fatty Acids (C12, C14, C16, and C18 with 98% purity) 9% (2001) – 5.5% (2002), Fatty Acids (stearic, oleic) 16% (2001) – 16% (2002), Fatty Alcohols (mixed cuts) 9% (2001) – 9% (2002), Fatty Alcohols (pure cuts) 8% (2001) – 7% (2002).
