BioCorr® Rust Preventative belongs to a newest and most advanced generation of corrosion protection products. It is a 100% biobased, waterbased and biodegradable product, formulated with renewable raw materials, intended for preservation of metals during processing, in storage and transportation. BioCorr® is now also available in totes! This will give our customers a wider range of packaging choices, enabling them to choose a solution that meets their needs best.
It offers a multi-metal protection, and is an excellent environmentally sound alternative to petroleum derived products, especially due to the rapidly increasing oil prices. By using Biocorr®, customers will replace hazardous anti-corrosion oils and flammable solvents, whose prices are growing astronomically, with more effective solution at much lower cost. Biocorr® is 40% cheaper than rust preventive oils. Metal surfaces protected with this product do not require cleaning unlike oils, and in most cases can be painted over. Therefore expensive disposal costs associated with oils are eliminated.
It can be used as preservative for machines and equipment and protection of pipes, flanges, gears, galvanized steel, cooper, cast iron and coils… Unlike rust preventative oils, BioCorr® leaves a dry film on the surface of the metal that is virtually invisible. Thanks to this feature you will be able to create a clean workplace and prevent material waste.
BioCorr® is VOC free, does not contain any chlorinated compounds, chromates or nitrites and reduces carbon emissions for 70%. It can be applied by dipping or spraying. Available in liquid totes. 1,000 liter totes are returnable which greatly reduces transportation and storage costs, and provides Biocorr® users clean and environmentally friendly solutions for their metalworking operations. This product meets requirements of ASTM D 4627-92(2007), Standard Test Method for Iron Chip Corrosion for Water Dilutable Metalworking Fluids, NCI standard 0487, and NACE Standard RP 0487-2000.
