AFC partners with MGI to grow AFC’s bio-resin business in the Americas

Launch of a strategic partnership for sale and distribution

AFC EcoPlastics and MGI International, a joint venture between Marco Polo International, LLC, Global Plastics, LLC and ITOCHU International Inc., have announced the launch of a strategic partnership for the sale and distribution of bio-resins.

MGI is a  leading worldwide distributor of plastic and bio-resins. Over the past three decades, it has built a strong and diverse team with a global sales and procurement network that allows the company to efficiently serve the needs of its customers in over 70 different countries.

AFC EcoPlastics is a Texas-based joint venture subsidiary of Vietnam-based An Phat Holdings. With 13 factories and subsidiaries in Vietnam and one in South Korea, APH sells and distributes products to over 60 countries around the world. APH is a supplier of a range of resins and finished products to some of the world’s largest companies. AFC is responsible for the distribution of its industry leading bio-resins and bio-compounds for the North and South American markets.

AFC and MGI will advance the sale and distribution of AFC’s bio-resins and bio-compounds to customers in the North and South American market.

“MGI and its team of experienced professionals in bio-resins and specialized engineering applications will provide AFC with the platform and partnership needed to grow the business,” said AFC CEO Nirav Patel. The company aims to become an industry leading player in the bio-plastics sector.
