Advanced Biofuels USA’s Online Free Library Passes 40,000 Indexed Items Milestone

Offering topics from Aviation Fuel (Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF)), BioChemicals/Renewable Chemicals and BioRefineries/Renewable Fuel Production to yeast, yellow grease, yields, Zambia, zeolites and Zimbabwe

Advanced Biofuels USA, a nonprofit educational organization, celebrates passing the 40,000 indexed item milestone in its online library dedicated to topics related to the world’s transition to sustainable renewable fuels.

“The goal of the library is to help everyone from those in decision-making positions to those living with those decisions to better understand the opportunities and pathways to achieve carbon and pollution reductions in the fuel used around the world for everything from transportation to cooking, heating, agriculture and industry,” explains executive director, Joanne Ivancic.

“The adoption of renewable fuels is an immediate solution to reduce greenhouse gas emissions,” notes Doug Root, Advanced Biofuels USA’s president. “To make a serious dent in carbon emissions, the fossil-derived portion of fuels in all transportation and agricultural sectors should be replaced with renewables as much as possible as soon as possible.” he adds. “The same goes for fuels used for heating/cooling and for equipment used in agriculture, construction and industry.  Advanced Biofuels USA provides online and in-person resources to help make this transition happen.  This extensive online library is just one example of the fount of knowledge available from this organization to anyone with an interest in defossilizing the world’s fuels.”

The online library began in 2008 as one of the organization’s first international educational efforts.  Since then it has grown to over 40,000 indexed items with topics from Aviation Fuel (Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF))BioChemicals/Renewable Chemicals and BioRefineries/Renewable Fuel Production to yeastyellow greaseyieldsZambiazeolites and Zimbabwe.

Easy-to-navigate categories and tags along the right margin of every page help readers find the answers even if they aren’t sure of the questions.

Online resources and initial consulting have remained free throughout the organization’s existence.  Donations and in-kind contributions are essential to continue to provide this crucial information to as wide an audience as possible.  Find out more about that here.

Ivancic encourages everyone with knowledge and understanding of renewable fuels to participate in efforts at all levels of government and private industry to bring affordable, clean renewable fuels to every community, to every possible use.
