AMP Polymix, a leading distributor of high-performance polymer materials, and Lignin Industries, a pioneer in bio-based thermoplastics, today announced an exclusive partnership to distribute and grow sustainable material solutions based on Lignin Industries’ technology.
Through this collaboration, AMP Polymix will exclusively distribute Lignin Industries’ innovative lignin-based material, Renol®, across selected markets and applications. The partnership aims to accelerate the adoption of renewable, high-performance engineering plastic alternatives to conventional plastics while significantly reducing CO₂ emissions.
The product Renol® is a drop in masterbatch to be used in standard plastic conversion. Renol is made from lignin, a second-generation polymer and it is a natural polymer derived from biomass byproducts. It offers a unique opportunity to replace fossil-based materials within standard plastics such as PE, PP, ABS and elastomers without compromising performance. By integrating Renol® into polymer formulations, the companies aim to deliver solutions that enable up to 60% CO₂ reduction and replace up to 40% of conventional plastics in targeted applications.
“We are excited to partner with Lignin Industries to bring next-generation sustainable materials to market,” said Julie Fath Léguillier, CEO at AMP Polymix.”
“This exclusive agreement strengthens our position as a leader in innovative plastics and compounds while supporting our customers’ transition toward next generation products.”
“AMP Polymix is an ideal partner with deep technical expertise and strong market access,” said Brita Kämpe Bromé, CEO at Lignin Industries. “Together, we can rapidly grow lignin-based materials and make a meaningful impact on the plastics industry’s transition to high-performing, resilient and EU made materials.”
The partnership will focus on key industries including mobility, consumer goods, packaging and industrial applications, where performance and sustainability are critical.
