Finnish circular economy pioneer Syklo is taking a major leap forward in the growth of industrial-scale circular economy in Finland by opening the country’s largest plastic recycling facility and a state-of-the-art biocomposite plant in Hyvinkää.
At the opening event, you will have the opportunity to explore the latest circular economy technologies and learn how circular solutions are being developed into a competitive and profitable export industry for Finland. The facilities, scheduled to become operational during the summer 2026, will increase Finland’s plastic recycling capacity by more than 50%, significantly reduce the need for virgin plastic, and create over 100 new direct jobs in the region.
The event brings together key circular economy stakeholders and decision-makers, offering a unique platform for timely keynote speeches and discussions. Guests will also have the chance to tour the new industrial complex, enjoy live music, and network with industry leaders and policymakers.
You are warmly invited to join us in celebrating the official opening of the facilities on Wednesday, 9 September 2026, starting at 12:00 PM. A more detailed invitation including the programme, speakers, and schedule will be sent at a later date.
