Avantium N.V., a leader in renewable and circular polymer materials, proudly announces that it has successfully achieved certification for ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety Management) and ISO 9001 (Quality Management) for the production of intermediate chemicals used in the production of FDCA (furandicarboxylic acid) at its FDCA Flagship Plant in Delfzijl. The comprehensive audit was carried out by DNV, confirming that Avantium’s environmental, safety and quality management systems meet globally recognised standards.

Achieving all three ISO certifications demonstrates Avantium’s strong commitment to operating responsibly: reducing environmental impact (ISO 14001), ensuring a safe and healthy working environment (ISO 45001), and delivering consistent, high‑quality performance across our operations (ISO 9001). This achievement reflects the dedication of our teams and supports our ambition to scale our sustainable technology for the production of FDCA with the highest standards of operational discipline.

“Receiving these certifications is a testament to the hard work of our people and the values that guide Avantium,” said Nanda Weitering, Quality Manager at Avantium. “Safety and sustainability are at the heart of how we operate every day, and these standards strengthen the foundation on which we are helping to build a fossil‑free chemical industry.”
