6th Conference of the European Industrial Hemp Association: Wesseling, May 27 to 28, 2009

The nova-Institut GmbH, Huerth, invites all experts on hemp and other natural fibres to the 6th Conference of the European Industrial Hemp Association (EIHA) in Wesseling near Cologne, Germany on May 27th-28th, 2009.

Background
The EIHA Conference established itself as the biggest expert meeting on industrial hemp in Europe and also world-wide. Experts from all over the world will meet each other in order to exchange information about the latest developments concerning hemp and other natural fibres and moreover about applications of fibres, shives and seeds/oil. The spectrum of participants will range from cultivation consultants, primary and further processors, traders, mechanical engineers and investors to numerous small and medium-sized enterprises and to globally operating automotive enterprises and suppliers. They all share common interest in the utilisation of hemp fibres, shives and seeds. The conference language will be English. The organisers expect 200 international participants because of the large number of EIHA members and because of the context of the International Year of Natural Fibres 2009. The conference language will be English.

In addition to the Plenary meeting we offer this year several workshops whose participants number are limited to approx. 20 persons. Please make your registration for one or serveral workshops by writing an email to Mr. Dominik Vogt: dominik.vogt@nova-institut.de. We suggest the following workshop topics, but we are open for other proposals:

Call for Papers
EIHA would like to invite any expert on industrial hemp as speakers to this conference. Please send the title and the abstract of your presentation to Dominik Vogt as soon as possible and Keep in mind that all participants are experts. The orgnisers are primarily interested in new and sophisticated topics concerning hemp, natural fibres, technologies and applications. The time for presentations will be about 20 minutes plus 10 minutes for discussion.

Fee
The participant fee is 330 € plus 19% VAT. The participant fee for EIHA members will be 165 EUR (including lunches, snacks and the dinner buffet)!
