The Italian Pavilion\u2019s\u00a0Resilient Communities, curated by\u00a0Alessandro Melis, project places climate change at the centre of the international debate this year. It is a firm belief that architecture must contribute significantly to improving the quality of life by providing appropriate responses capable of reacting to climate and social change.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A challenge taken up with the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.materialbalance.polimi.it\/portfolio_page\/matres\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>MatRes\u00a0<\/strong>project<\/a> by the research groups of the\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www2.polimi.it\/index.php%3Fid=6098&amp;L=1&amp;sel_dipartimento=33303461.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Department of\u00a0Architecture, Built Environment and Construction Engineering<\/a><\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.design.polimi.it\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Department of Design<\/a> and Department of Chemistry of Politecnico di Milano. The installation evokes a tree metaphor to experience resilient forms, through its component materials.
