Sateri has successfully produced FINEX\u2122\u00a0viscose fibres with up to 20% recycled content. Under the RCS certification process, each stage of production is required to be certified, beginning at the recycling stage and ending at the last seller in the final business-to-business transaction.<\/p>\n<p>These new developments were announced at the official launch of FINEX\u2122 today.\u00a0 About 160 guests, mostly senior representatives of major fashion brands and fabric and garment makers, gathered to celebrate the milestones that cement the status of FINEX\u2122 as a game changer for sustainable fashion.<\/p>\n<p>Themed \u2018Sustainable Fashion for the Future\u2019, the launch was jointly hosted by Sateri and China International Fashion Fair (CHIC) on the sidelines of the three-day Intertextile Shanghai\u00a0Apparel Fabrics, a major industry expo.<\/p>\n<p>In his address, Allen Zhang, President of Sateri, said, \u201cThe development of FINEX\u2122\u00a0has been an intensive effort for Sateri from initial commercialisation, to partnering brands like Lafuma and Rico Lee, and finally to today\u2019s launch.\u00a0 This is all made possible with collaboration across the value chain \u2013 working alongside yarn spinners, garment makers and brand partners \u2013 to bring a high quality and more planet-friendly product to consumers.\u00a0 The fashion industry is changing fast and, beyond functionality, circularity is now of the greatest importance in apparel manufacturing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the \u20182020 Sustainable Fashion Report\u2019 released by China\u2019s leading business news publication CBNweekly earlier this week, results of\u00a0 a survey with stakeholders in the fashion value chain reinforced the potential of textile recycling as a solution to the problem of\u00a0 textile waste arising from over-consumption and production.\u00a0 The report identified technology and capital as the biggest barriers to textile recycling and highlighted the critical role brands play in mobilising manufacturers and consumers to advance sustainable fashion.<\/p>\n<p>As part of its efforts to promote textile fibre recycling in China, Sateri is in dialogue with the China Association of Circular Economy (CACE) to undertake a comprehensive study on the industrial-scale textile waste recycling landscape in the country.\u00a0 The study is expected to commence next year.<\/p>\n<p>Sateri is part of the Singapore-based RGE group of companies which has committed\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rgei.com\/attachments\/article\/1345\/rge-commits-us$200-million-to-next-generation-textile-fibre-innovation-and-technology_en.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">USD200 million into next-generation textile fibre innovation and technology<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>About Sateri<\/h3>\n<p>Sateri is the world\u2019s largest producer of viscose fibre, a natural and sustainable raw material found in everyday items like textiles, baby wipes and personal hygiene products.\u00a0 Our range of high quality viscose products is independently verified as safe and responsibly produced.
