{"id":70676,"date":"2020-01-22T07:35:58","date_gmt":"2020-01-22T06:35:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/renewable-carbon.eu\/news\/?p=70676"},"modified":"2020-01-17T14:30:55","modified_gmt":"2020-01-17T13:30:55","slug":"lenzing-car-concept-with-biodegradable-car-seat-covers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/renewable-carbon.eu\/news\/lenzing-car-concept-with-biodegradable-car-seat-covers\/","title":{"rendered":"Lenzing: Car concept with biodegradable car seat covers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The producer of cellulosic fibers, Lenzing AG, Lenzing\/Austria, has partnered with the automotive think tank Rinspeed AG, Zumikon\/Switzerland, to introduce highly sustainable fibers for automotive interiors in Rinspeed\u2019s 2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rinspeed.eu\/en\/microSNAP_50_concept-car.html\" target=\"_blank\">concept vehicle \u201cmicroSnap\u201d<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Under the collaboration, Lenzing\u2019s sustainably produced botanic fibers are incorporated in the seat cover fabrics of the \u201cmicroSnap\u201d to enhance sustainability of the futuristic vehicles, while offering new levels of softness moisture management and body temperature regulating technologies.<\/p>\n<p>Fibers for the trademark \u201cLenzing for Automotive Interiors\u201d comprise of Lenzing Lyocell and Modal fibers, which are produced from renewable wood sources through eco-responsible production processes and certified as compostable and biodegradable.<\/p>\n<p>Combined with the innovative Eco Color Technology, Lenzing for Automotive Interiors fibers also feature long-lasting color-fastness with color pigment embedded in fibers during production process.
