Green Dot Bioplastics, NovoNutrients, and Advanced Animal Diagnostics were selected as the top three finalists out of 188 start-up companies in the Extreme Tech Challenge (XTC\u00ae<\/sup>) in the San Francisco region.<\/strong><\/p>\n The Extreme Tech Challenge aims to discover and support new technologies and innovations to solve the world\u2019s most extreme problems. Drawing from the United Nations\u2019 17 Sustainable Development Goals, XTC\u00ae<\/sup> partners will encourage the world\u2019s most promising entrepreneurs to develop solutions to the greatest challenges facing humankind. The top finalists will pitch to a panel of investors for potential investments. The XTC\u00ae<\/sup> is hosted by the Samsung Catalyst Fund<\/a> and is supported by Cisco, Ford Motor Company, Silicon Valley Bank, Zoom, Cadence, and several other organizations.<\/p>\n On May 4th, 2020, Green Dot and 30 regional finalists from around the globe will compete at the finals round bootcamp in Paris. The finals bootcamp will provide world-class mentorship and training as well as connect start-ups with leading corporations and venture capitalists.<\/p>\n On June 11th, the top 10 companies at the bootcamp will be selected to pitch on stage at Viva Technology 2020 in Paris to celebrity investors who will select a winner for each category: Agtech, Food, & Water; Cleantech & Energy; Education; Enabling Technologies; Fintech; Healthcare; Transportation & Smart Cities.
