This then serves as a raw material for a polyurethane product on a positive list that serves as the basis for BiomassPla certification.<strong><sup>*1<\/sup><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Polyurethane foam using ECONYKOL\u2122 is already finding increasing use in cushion materials for automotive seats and furniture. Now, MCNS is also supplying ECONYKOL\u2122 as a raw material for seat cushions in ZMP\u2019s Robocar\u2122 Walk, making for a 27 percent reduction in CO<sub>2<\/sub> emissions compared with general-purpose polyurethane foam.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cZMP has worked to create robotics using designs that resonate with people,\u201d ZMP CEO Taniguchi said. \u201cFurther here, we think it\u2019s essential to make use of materials that are both people-friendly and environment-friendly. By adopting ECONYKOL\u2122 here, we\u2019re able to create robotics that are both people-friendly and eco-friendly \u2013 making it possible to provide even more value to our customers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Going forward, the Mitsui Chemicals Group will continue to provide ECONYKOL\u2122 alongside a suite of other materials and technologies aimed at helping solve the issue of global warming.
