In this circular bio-society, informed citizens choose a sustainable way of life, supporting an economy that couples economic growth with societal well-being and respect for the environment.<\/p>\n<p>The Vision focuses on four key drivers:<\/p>\n<p>1. Foster food security for a growing world<\/p>\n<p>population and meet its demand for<\/p>\n<p>sustainable products<\/p>\n<p>2. Contribute to a sustainable planet<\/p>\n<p>3. Create jobs and growth in the circular bioeconomy<\/p>\n<p>4. Achieve a circular bioeconomic society<\/p>\n<p>This Vision is the result of the collective input from by the Bio-based Industries Consortium (BIC) and its members, the Bio-based Industries Joint-Undertaking (BBI JU) advisory bodies: the States Representatives Group and Scientific Committee, and the following organisations:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>European Bioeconomy Alliance (EUBA) and its members:<\/p>\n<p>Confederation of European Forest Owners (CEPF);<\/p>\n<p>Confederation of European Paper Industries (CEPI);<\/p>\n<p>European Association for Bioindustries (EuropaBio);<\/p>\n<p>European Association of Sugar Manufacturers (CEFS);<\/p>\n<p>European Bioplastics (EUBP);<\/p>\n<p>European Farmers and European Agri-Cooperatives (Copa-Cogeca);<\/p>\n<p>European Renewable Ethanol Producers Association (ePURE);<\/p>\n<p>European Starch Industry Association (Starch Europe);<\/p>\n<p>European Vegetable Oil and Protein Meal Industry (FEDIOL);<\/p>\n<p>Forest-based Sector Technology Platform (FTP)<\/p>\n<p>and Primary Food P rocessors (PFP) &amp;<\/p>\n<p>European Agricultural Machinery Industry (CEMA);<\/p>\n<p>European Chemical Industry Council (Cefic);<\/p>\n<p>European Technology Platform \u2018Food for Life\u2019;<\/p>\n<p>European Technology Platform for Sustainable Chemistry (SusChem)<\/p>\n<p>The Institute for European Environmental Policy (IEEP) was also consulted in this process.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This Vision\u00a0\u00a0&#8220;The circular-bio society in 2050&#8221;\u00a0will establish a sustainable and competitive bio-based industry in the EU enabling a circular bio-society by 2050.
