The athletic company\u2019s new Cotton + Corn initiative features footwear with soles made from corn and uppers made from organic cotton. The shoes are sustainable and free of leather and polyurethane. And they\u2019ve earned the company an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.peta.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Reebok-Innovator-for-Animals.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Innovator for Animals Award<\/a> from PETA. Reebok initially launched the collection with leather pieces on the tongue and heel, but after hearing from PETA, it replaced the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.peta.org\/issues\/animals-used-for-clothing\/leather-industry\/animals-used-leather\/\" target=\"_blank\">animal skin<\/a> with vegan material.
