{"id":62807,"date":"2019-05-02T07:41:37","date_gmt":"2019-05-02T05:41:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/renewable-carbon.eu\/news\/?p=62807"},"modified":"2019-04-30T09:36:37","modified_gmt":"2019-04-30T07:36:37","slug":"state-of-play-of-central-and-eastern-europes-bioeconomies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/renewable-carbon.eu\/news\/state-of-play-of-central-and-eastern-europes-bioeconomies\/","title":{"rendered":"State of play of Central and Eastern Europe\u2019s bioeconomies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>This recent study was carried out by nova-Institute as part of the work program of the SCAR Bioeconomy Strategic Working Group and and support by CASA, a Coordination and Support Action (CSA) with the overall objective of delivering a consolidated common agricultural and wider bioeconomy research agenda within the European Research Area.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The objective of this study was to map information and to help establishing data-driven support for the development and implementation of national bioeconomy policies in the BIOEAST macro-region. BIOEAST is the Central and Eastern European Initiative for knowledge-based agriculture, aquaculture, forestry in the bioeconomy. It is an open initiative started by the Visegrad Group Countries: Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, and joined by Bulgaria, Croatia, Latvia, Lithuania, Republic of Estonia, Romania, Slovenia. For more information about the BIOEAST initiative, click here: <a href=\"http:\/\/bioeast.eu\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/bioeast.eu<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The study by nova-Institute was prepared between July and November 2018 and was presented by Dr. Stephan Piotrowski at the BIOEAST Conference \u201eBioeconomy in the forefront of national policies\u201c, a high-level international conference organised jointly by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Hungarian Academy of Sciences as part of the Hungarian Science Festival on 8 November 2018 and focused on the situation, challenges and opportunities of bioeconomy of the BIOEAST macro-region.
