Storopack successfully generates more than 25% of its revenue from products made from sustainable or recycled raw material. With a strong commitment to increase this further, as environmental considerations are the main priority for future product innovations.<\/p>\n<p>Richard Pulfrey Managing Director comments \u201cStoropack has always placed a strong emphasis on the environment throughout our portfolio of in-the-box protective packaging. Our AIRplus\u00ae range is geared towards high recycled content, recyclability and source reduction, but we also offer Bio based EN 13432 certified products, which were introduced into our value added proposition back in 2009.<\/p>\n<p>PELASPAN\u00ae BIO Loose Fill and AIRplus\u00ae BIO film ranges \u2013 renewable, biodegradable and compostable PELASPAN\u00ae BIO Loose Fill and AIRplus\u00ae BIO, both are made from renewable and fully biodegradable raw material, and are EN 13432 certified to European standard.<\/p>\n<p>PELASPAN BIO\u00ae is produced using vegetable starch and is 100% bio-degradable and water soluble. AIRplus\u00ae BIO is 100%, made from Po-lylactic Acid (PLA) derived from corn starch renewable resources.<\/p>\n<p>These 100% renewable, biodegradable and compostable products can be disposed of by industrial composting or garden waste recycling bins.<\/p>\n<p>Richard Pulfrey explains further \u201cAt Storopack our commitment to innova-tive sustainable packaging continues and significant resources are in-vested in maximising environmental practices. The recycled AIRplus\u00ae air cushions range will be manufactured with a minimum of 70% post-consumer waste. Enhanced technological development at our extrusion plant in Berlin, will also allow us to produce lower micron films thus redu-cing material consumption at source.
