The goal of the program is to reduce the environmental impact of space exploration by producing less space debris and removing that which is in orbit.<\/p>\n<p>As part of this program, two of Bcomp\u2019s natural-fiber materials,\u00a0AmpliTex\u00a0technical fabrics and PowerRibs\u00a0reinforcements,\u00a0will be tested under conditions comparable to those in Low Earth Orbit (LEO).\u00a0Tests will include resistance to extreme temperatures (from -150 to +150\u00b0C) and the UV radiations found in the earth\u2019s orbit.
