Getting loose with your favourite bands and favourite people, with no cares in the world except for, \u2018Is there any paper in that portaloo?\u2019 and \u2018Where the hell is my tent?\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Food options have been getting better and better in recent years, with quality street food vendors serving up delicious dishes, rather than just chunky chips and substandard ketchup.<\/p>\n<p>However, while some stalls make sure they only use biodegradable wooden cutlery and recyclable paper plates, others are still there using the same old plastic forks and non, recyclable plastic-lined boxes.<\/p>\n<p>Even if a vendor does use paper plates, if they\u2019re thrown in the wrong bin, or put in the recycling bin with food on, they\u2019ll still end up in landfill.<\/p>\n<p>Enter the edible plate, created by technology company Biotrem, which may be the answer to our environmental prayers.<\/p>\n<p>The plates are made in Poland from natural wheat bran, and small amounts of water, packed together into a solid plate shape with high pressure and high temperatures.<\/p>\n<p>Both hot and cold food can be served on the plates, and they can even be used in ovens and microwaves.<\/p>\n<p>And they\u2019re totally edible.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Festivals are truly some of the greatest places on earth.
