{"id":48032,"date":"2017-11-30T07:23:34","date_gmt":"2017-11-30T06:23:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/renewable-carbon.eu\/news\/?p=48032"},"modified":"2017-11-28T13:50:22","modified_gmt":"2017-11-28T12:50:22","slug":"biomass-will-provide-chemical-compounds-to-elaborate-pef-additives-and-pharmaceutical-ingredients","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/renewable-carbon.eu\/news\/biomass-will-provide-chemical-compounds-to-elaborate-pef-additives-and-pharmaceutical-ingredients\/","title":{"rendered":"Biomass will provide chemical compounds to elaborate PEF, additives and pharmaceutical ingredients"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>AIMPLAS participates in the European project <a href=\"http:\/\/www.enzox2.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\">EnzOx2<\/a>, coordinated by CSIC (Spanish National Research Council), whose objective is to develop new bio-chemical technologies to obtain added-value chemical compounds from biomass.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>During the three years of project, the centres and companies involved, under the coordination of CSIC, will develop new bio-chemical technologies based on the use of oxidative enzymes to obtain high added-value products from biomass as an alternative to petrochemical-based raw materials.<\/p>\n<p>In particular, it is expected to obtain 2, 5-furandicarboxylic acid. This is a building block, which has a great interest in the polymerization process for the subsequent formulation of PEF derivative.
