{"id":44342,"date":"2017-07-12T07:41:49","date_gmt":"2017-07-12T05:41:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/renewable-carbon.eu\/news\/?p=44342"},"modified":"2017-07-18T09:19:32","modified_gmt":"2017-07-18T07:19:32","slug":"mapping-european-biorefineries","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/renewable-carbon.eu\/news\/mapping-european-biorefineries\/","title":{"rendered":"Mapping European Biorefineries"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/biconsortium.eu\" target=\"_blank\">Bio-based Industries Consortium (BIC)<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/nova-institute.eu\" target=\"_blank\">nova-Institute<\/a> started a project that will make European bio-based activities more visible. Albeit Europe is already strong in the field of bio-based products, there is no map available yet that shows all commercial biorefineries in Europe. On behalf of the Bio-based Industries Consortium, nova-Institute will create such a map in the upcoming months. For the map, a biorefinery is defined as \u201ean integrated production plant using biomass or biomass-derived feedstocks to produce a range of value added products and energy\u201c.
