For the tenth time in a row the International Conference on Bio-based Materials will provide a meeting point for major players from the bio-based building blocks, polymers and industrial biotechnology industries with an opportunity to present and discuss their latest developments and strategies. <\/strong>
\nAs an event that strives to highlight innovation, the conference will again dedicate a session to young and promising start-ups and honor new and innovative developments with the \u201cBio-based Materials of the Year 2017\u201d award.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sessions \u2013 Call for papers open<\/h3>\n

This year, the programme features sessions on policy and markets, bio-based building blocks and platform chemicals, bio-based polymers and oleochemicals. First speakers from internationally well-known companies and innovative new players are already confirmed. The preliminary programme with the first eleven confirmed speakers is already available at bio-based-conference.com\/programme<\/a>

Special Start-up Session<\/h3>\n

Young and promising start-ups are invited to apply for a slot for a dedicated start-up session. Please send us a document presenting your product, process, used feedstock and target markets and also highlight the real innovation and the benefits of your product\/technology. Bio-based Material of the Year 2017 \u2013 Apply now<\/h3>\n

The Innovation Award “Bio-based Material of the Year” will be granted to the innovative bio-based chemicals and materials industry for finding suitable applications and markets for bio-based products. Focus of the award are new developments within these areas, which had been launched in 2016 or will be launched in 2017.
\nProducers and inventors of innovative bio-based materials are invited to hand in their application until end of February 2017. Details on the award and application can be found at bio-based-conference.com\/award<\/a><\/p>\n
