Shortly after the conference, hemp fibres from the Netherlands were the first technical natural fibres worldwide to receive the well-established ISCC sustainability certificate (<a href=\"https:\/\/renewable-carbon.eu\/news\/world-debut-for-the-first-sustainably-certified-natural-fibre\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/renewable-carbon.eu\/news\/world-debut-for-the-first-sustainably-certified-natural-fibre<\/a>).<\/li>\n<li>Next, we will focus on direct use of CO<sub>2<\/sub>: On 6 and 7 December, nova will organise the \u201c5<sup>th<\/sup> Conference on Carbon Dioxide as Feedstock for Fuels, Chemistry and Polymers\u201d. For the first time, it will take place in Cologne, as the previous location has become too small. The programme features many interesting speakers already and, very importantly: Until the end of August, an early bird discount of 20% on all tickets and a free booth for the first ten exhibitors are available. All details in the newsletter.<\/li>\n<li>The bio-based economy needs its own trade fairs to showcase its products and as meeting points for the industry. nova-Institute supports the following three market leaders:\n<ul>\n<li>The bio-based composites pavilion at Composites Europe, 29 November to 1 December 2016 at Messe D\u00fcsseldorf (DE). The meeting point for the whole biocomposites industry, WPC and NFC.<\/li>\n<li>The BiobasedWorld will premiere on 15 and 16 February 2017 at Cologne trade fair (DE) and will showcase the whole value chain of the bioeconomy, from feedstocks to chemistry to bio-based products.<\/li>\n<li>The MAP EXPO in Eindhoven (NL) will open its doors on 29-30 March 2017 as the first global market place for medicinal and spice plants.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The first two nova Sessions on CCU and bio-based feedstocks were well received, shared a lot of information and sparked lively discussions. Because of the active demand, we are offering the nova Session \u201cBiomass feedstocks today and in the future \u2013 going beyond food vs. fuel\u201d again on 8 September. Interested parties should register quickly at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bio-based.eu\/nova-sessions\/registration\" target=\"_blank\">www.bio-based.eu\/nova-sessions\/registration<\/a> to make sure they can participate!<\/li>\n<li>The new market study by narocon (Berlin, DE) and nova takes a look at the use of biodegradable and compostable plastics in Europe \u2013 at the moment 100,000 t with potential for growth.<\/li>\n<li>There is a summer promotion for nova-Institute\u2019s big market study on biopolymers: If you buy now, you will get the data update in January 2017 for free.
