Her main focus is on bio-based materials, especially bio-based polymers. She is very well acquainted with the global market of bio-based polymers and building blocks as she is one of the main authors of the market study \u201cBio-based Building Blocks and Polymers in the World \u2013 Capacities, Production and Applications: Status Quo and Trends towards 2020\u201d. The new short version and the figures are available for free here: <a href=\"http:\/\/bio-based.eu\/markets\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/bio-based.eu\/markets<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>She is the project leader of the upcoming \u201c9th International Conference on Bio-based Materials\u201d taking place on 5-6 April 2016 in Cologne (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bio.based.eu\/conference\" target=\"_blank\">www.bio.based.eu\/conference<\/a>), Europe\u2019s second largest conference on bio-based materials. She is also project leader of the brand new conference \u201cBio-based Start-up Day\u201d taking place on 7 April 2016 in Cologne (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bio-based.eu\/startup\" target=\"_blank\">www.bio-based.eu\/startup<\/a>). Additionally, she leads several customer research and consulting projects on technical, economic, ecological and market aspects of bio-based building blocks and polymers to find the best bio-based solutions for their needs.<br \/>\nShe is also involved in European projects such as HEMICELL and BIO-QED, where she is responsible for market research.<\/p>\n<h3>Other running projects:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>HEMICELL \u2013 a project within the WoodWisdom-Net Research Programm and ERA-NET Bioenergy. nova-Institute is conducting market research and techno-economic evaluation on wood based chemicals, in particular chemical modified hemicellulose, used as functional additives to enhance the material properties of cellulose esters. It is also responsible for dissemination. <a href=\"http:\/\/hemicell-project.com\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/hemicell-project.com<\/a><\/li>\n<li>BIO-QED \u2013 Quod Erat Demonstrandum: Large scale demonstration for the bio-based bulk chemical 1,4-butanediol and itaconic acid aiming at cost reduction and improved sustainability.
