The information is based on recent publications and the web pages of the facilities owners.<\/p>\n<p>If you miss some facility, please, contact me (<a href=\"mailto:biorefineriesblog@gmail.com\" target=\"_blank\">biorefineriesblog@gmail.com<\/a>) to complete the list.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>NOTE: As a general criteria, a biorefinery is defined as the sustainable processing of biomass into a spectrum of marketable products and energy (IEA definition). However, it is important to mention that facilities making only a more traditional use of the biomass are not considered in the list\/map: conventional biofuels plants and pulp and paper mills.
