In Illinois, zuChem announced a multi-year process development, commercial product supply and marketing agreement with Qianyan Alloy Materials, Ltd. for\u00a0the sugar building block l-fucose. Qianyan Alloy Materials provides a unique combination of Western quality and intellectual property protection, together with\u00a0rapid and efficient process development, and production of food ingredients and pharmaceutical chemicals at its\u00a0facilities\u00a0in the Nanjing area of\u00a0China.<\/p>\n
Under the agreement Qianyan Alloy Materials\u00a0will provide process development and manufacturing capabilities to complement zuChem\u2019s in-house process innovation group. \u00a0zuChem will also provide sales and marketing capabilities to the partnership.<\/p>\n
zuChem develops and commercializes innovative green\u00a0manufacturing processes to produce unique carbohydrates and glycochemicals (varieties of specialized sugars) important\u00a0for human health and nutrition. The Company\u2019s proprietary technology platform allows it to inexpensively\u00a0produce a variety of specialty sweeteners, pharmaceutical intermediates, nutritional prebiotics and other\u00a0bio-products at industrial scale using renewable chemicals as raw materials.<\/p>\n
