He was looking for interesting materials to be used in his designs which push the boundaries of shoemaking.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Chris was looking for a filament with a natural texture after printing, after carefully considering various option the material of choice was woodFill, a mix of 70% PLA and 30% woodfibres. Using the Ultimaker 3D printer Chris developed many iterations directly in the material for the final product.
