The diary describes how to work from the top sectors over the next 8 to 12 years to the realization of a biobased economy in the Netherlands.<\/p>\n<p>The agenda includes four program lines that form the thread for new biobased chains. Besides energy come through technological developments, applications such as chemical building blocks and other packaging materials under ever closer. Connections between sectors are essential. Keyword is biocascading. In biocascading assume as much as possible to extract valuable compounds from biomass before the residual current is used for energy production. TKI BBE committed to in the short term to a more efficient use of biomass for energy and materials. In the longer term TKI BBE sees significant opportunities for capturing solar, the direct conversion of solar energy into chemical building blocks. It is Dutch expertise crucial to use solar energy much more efficient.<\/p>\n<h3>Economic efficiency<\/h3>\n<p>The research agenda in close consultation with industry, universities and the government concluded. To actually reach a greening of the economy, the commitment of the business community is crucial. Therefore, the agenda on the principle that knowledge needs to be done on issues where the Dutch business community sees opportunities to bring economic value in the Netherlands. Either in production or in pilot plants.<\/p>\n<h3>Seamless connection<\/h3>\n<p>With the development of the agenda, the research institutes (DLO, ECN and TNO) had a strategy in close consultation which connects to the research agenda. NWO uses the research agenda for its science agenda at the end of this year is ready. This creates a seamless connection between the ambitions of TKI BBE and the strategy of the universities.<\/p>\n<h3>Budget<\/h3>\n<p>For the realization of the calendar year is \u20ac 34 million of public money needed. This means that from 2016 \u20ac 7 million extra public money to be released. This amount increases to \u20ac 15 million in 2019. A survey shows that there is sufficient commitment from the business to lay a private euro next to every public euro. This program is part of the Top Sectors Chemicals and Energy.
