The financing secured in\u00a0conjunction with this merger supports the company\u2019s lead program for the production of 1,3-butadiene. The Company will also seek further\u00a0collaborations with industrial partners to develop and commercialise its novel\u00a0bio-route to 1,3-butanediol and associated derivatives.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>BioSyntha Technology Ltd, formerly part of Novacta Biosystems Ltd, was\u00a0founded in 2012 and is a leading technology developer in the industrial\u00a0biotechnology sector. Biosyntha\u2019s proprietary focus has been the\u00a0development of highly efficient low cost routes to important chemical products\u00a0using engineered acetogenic bacteria.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBased upon our common vision, this merger marks an important milestone in\u00a0the restructuring, development and commercialisation of our business. We look forward to an exciting future working\u00a0together,\u201d said Steve Martin, CEO of BioSyntha.<\/p>\n<p>ZuvaChem LLC (a subsidiary of Acidophil LLC) was founded in 2008 to\u00a0develop innovative routes for the microbial production of industrial chemicals\u00a0with a specific focus on chemicals for the renewable rubber tyre industry.\u00a0ZuvaChem has advanced these developments through a series of research\u00a0contracts and sponsored research agreements.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are excited to complete this merger that recognises the synergies\u00a0between the two companies,\u201d said Philip Goelet, CEO of Acidophil LLC. \u201cIt\u00a0places our new company in a strong position to continue commercialisation of\u00a0its primary program on 1,3-butadiene but also allows it to explore and develop\u00a0the potential in its pipeline with further partners.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As part of the deal, funding was secured from Acidophil Investors III, Rainbow\u00a0Seed Fund (RSF) and Oxford Technology 4 VCT.<\/p>\n<p>Oliver Sexton, from Rainbow Seed Fund said, \u201cRSF has invested in\u00a0BioSyntha\u2019s $12bn market lead project since its inception. As well as\u00a0providing finance, our team has also been able to offer advice and guidance\u00a0to the management teams involved along the way.\u00a0The merger will accelerate\u00a0the company\u2019s growth and collaboration with a major\u00a0corporate partner in the\u00a0rubber market. ZuvaSyntha\u2019s proprietary pipeline is promising and RSF is\u00a0excited about ZuvaSyntha\u2019s bright green future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The new company, ZuvaSyntha Ltd, will be based in the UK and will be led by\u00a0Steve Martin, the Company\u2019s CEO.
