Innovia Films\u2019 NatureFlex\u2122 is helping a leading Italian coffee company with its launch of a new organic brand. Based in Modena, Caff\u00e8 Molinari SpA, is a speciality coffee company. They have recently introduced a Bio\u2122 range in Espresso and Decaffeinated varieties, which uses fully certified compostable packaging.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The coffee pack is constructed using two-layers, comprising a white metallised high barrier NatureFlex\u2122 outer layer laminated to a bio-polymer sealant inner layer, providing high seal strength and integrity.<\/p>\n

Working in collaboration with Goglio an international converter, these new coffee packs were developed specifically for Caff\u00e8 Molinari. This innovative eco-friendly integrated packaging system using NatureFlex\u2122 includes an aroma protecting bio valve, designed and patented by Goglio Plastic Division. The full pack construction with the valve complies with the EN13432 industrial composting norm and is certified to OK Compost\u2019s composting standard by Vin\u00e7otte.<\/p>\n

Giuseppe Molinari, Managing Director, Caff\u00e8 Molinari commented, \u201cIn order to satisfy our customers, who care for their environment and are health conscious, we have launched two Bio\u2122 coffees in fully certified compostable packs. Working closely with Innovia Films and Goglio we have been able to launch this integrated coffee packaging system with a bio degassing valve into the market. So far we have had an excellent response from our customers.\u201d<\/p>\n

NatureFlex\u2122 films are certified to meet the American ASTM D6400 and European EN13432 standards for compostable packaging. They begin life as a natural product, wood which is sourced from managed plantations operating on good forestry principals. They also offer a host of advantages for packing and converting such as high seal strength and integrity, excellent gas, aroma & UV light barrier, grease and chemical resistance, dead fold and anti-static properties, enhanced printing and conversion.<\/p>\n
